Tutti Flutti – Flute Performance Afternoon

With Tutti Flutti you get to decide whether you’re going to perform, make up part of the fabulous audience, or both! It’s a relaxed and enjoyable afternoon for flautists of all ages and abilities to perform in front of an audience. Do it for fun, do it as preparation or practice, or do it just because you can. Don’t play the flute or don’t want to perform? Come and listen and be inspired!

When: Sunday, September 10th, 3-5 pm.  Booking in for performers from 2-45 pm.

Where: Unley Uniting Church, 187 Unley Road, Unley

Closing date: September 1st.

Members: free; non-members $10.

Admission for the audience: gold coin donation.

Come along for a relaxed afternoon of flute performances.

A scrumptious afternoon tea will be provided.

Fabulous Flute Fun Day with Neil Fisenden

The Fabulous Flute Fun Day with Neil Fisenden was a raging success. A very enjoyable and enriching day was had by all participants. The Fun Day continues to be a highlight of the Flute Society calendar year.

Carolyn White Memorial Scholarship


When: Sunday October 22nd

Where: Unley Uniting Church, 187 Unley Road, Unley

Admission: gold coin donation.

Adjudicator: Lisa Gill

The Carolyn White Memorial Scholarship is for young flautists aged fifteen years or under on January 1, 2017. It provides them with the opportunity to prepare and perform works and to compete for cash prizes which may be used for tuition expenses or towards the cost of a new instrument or new music.

Entrants are required to perform the following on a C Concert Flute:

a) Set piece: Les Plaisirs from Suite in A minor, Telemann (Peters or any recognised edition)

b) Own choice piece, time limit is 6 minutes

The Carolyn White Memorial Scholarship will consist of two prizes:

First Prize $250

Second Prize $100 (donated by Elizabeth Koch AM)

Flute Fun Day

The Flute Society of South Australia is pleased to announce the 2017 Fabulous  Flute Fun Day for young flautists with special guest Neil Fisenden.   Neil is also adjudicating the 2017 Adelaide Eisteddfod Flute Division.

When: Sunday, August 13, 12 noon to 4.15 pm

Where: St Andrew’s School Performing Arts Centre, 22 Smith Street, Walkerville.
